Description of key information

The 96-hour acute toxicity of the test substance to the freshwater fish species Oncorhynchus mykiss was determined under semi-static test conditions in accordance with the requirements of OECD Chemicals Testing Guideline No. 203. The 96 hr LC50 was 0.35 mg/L based on time-weighted mean measured test concentrations.

Additional information

The acute toxicity to rainbow trout was determined. The 96 hr LC₅₀ was determined to be 0.35 mg/L, based on time-weighted mean measured test concentrations. The NOEC was considered to be 0.11 mg/L. Under the conditions employed in this study, Aldehyde C12 MNA Pure was considered to exert toxic effects to Oncorhynchus mykiss at time-weighted mean measured concentrations >0.11 mg/L. The 96 hr LC₅₀ was determined to be 0.35 mg/L.
