Description of key information

The melting point of the substance has been measured as 75.1 degrees centigrade

Additional information

The study was conducted in accordance with OECD guideline 102 and GLP. The melting point determination was performed using a melting point device. Triplicate measurements of the melting point were made with the temperature recorded at the start and end of melting of the test article. The temperature at the final stage of melting was taken to be the melting point, therefore the melting point was determined as 75.1 ± 0.2 °C.

Satisfactory apparatus performance was demonstrated using the reference substance vanillin (melting point of 82.7 °C).
