Additional information

Waiving according to "column 2" in Annex IX of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (long-term toxicity test available).

The results of four long-term toxicity tests on Eisenia fetida (reproduction test) with Pigments Red 2, 112 and 187 as well as Pigment Orange 38 conclusively show absence of toxicity to earthworms in regard to reproduction as well as in regard to mortality and body weight even at 1000 mg/kg soil dry weight (limit concentration or highest tested concentration, respectively). Thus, Naphtol-AS Pigments are to be regarded as nontoxic to soil macroorganisms and no further information is expected from additional tests.
