The metabolites 4-aminophenol, 4-(methylamino)phenol, 4- (dimethylamino)phenol, 2-aminophenol and N-methylaniline were isolated as crystalline hydrochlorides and 2- (dimethylamino)phenol in very small amounts. Aniline was not found in the urine. Nearly 2E-5 M aniline was found in the blood after the injection.
