Description of key information

Based on ThOD results obtained for the substance N,N-dimethylaniline, it can be observed that 75% degradation within 28 days at the concentration of 95.5 mg/l. Thus it can be concluded that substance N,N-dimethylaniline is found to readily biodegradeble.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Considering the weight of evidence approach and studies reviewed for target chemical N,N-dimethylaniline and read-across chemical N,N-diethylanilineit is concluded that the N,N-dimethylaniline is readily biodegradable in nature. Thus this also confirmed thatthe N,N-dimethylaniline is not persistent in nature.
