Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In contact with water the main components of the test item will hydrolyse rapidly.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The main components of the reaction mass hydrolyse rapidly in contact with water. At a temperature of 50 °C more than 50 % of mono and the di-substituted component are hydrolysed after 2.4 hours (= equivalent to a half-life of less than 1 day at 25°C) at a pH of 7 and a pH of 9 respectively. The hydrolysis rate is decreased at lower pH. At pH 4 the half life of the mono-substituted component at 25°C was 8.68 days and 66.1 hours for the di-substituted component (Safepharm Laboratories Ltd 2002a).
