Additional information

In water, PC2414 quickly hydrolyses to the two main hydrolysis products, N-Hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) and “Impurity 4”. Using computer based estimation the water solubility of the parent substance (PC2414) is determined to be 1.94 x 10-2g/l at 25 °C. The water solubility of NHS and “Impurity 4” are estimated to 1 x 103and 6.4 x 10-4g/l at 25 °C, respectively. The partition coefficient was determined at pH 2.4 to be 54.5, log10 Pow 1.74.PC2414 is readily biodegradable and is not expected to persist in the environment.

Overall, PC2414 is readily biodegradable and expected to hydrolyse to NHS and “Impurity 4” in the aquatic environment.
