Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The particle size distribution of PC2414 was characterized by 10.6 % having an inhalable particle size < 100µm, 2.66% having a thoracic particle size < 10.0µm and 0.63 % having a respirable particle size <5.5 µm. An accurate assessment of the mass median aerodynamic diameter could not be determined due to too few particles were of size less than 10.0 um.

Additional information

The particle size distribution of PC2414 was determined according to the European Commision technical guidance document "particle size distribution, fibre length and diameter distribution (June 1996). The particle distribution of PC2414 was characterized by 10.6 % having an inhalable particle size < 100µm, 2.66% having a thoracic particle size < 10.0µm and 0.63 % having a respirable particle size <5.5 µm. An accurate assessment of the mass median aerodynamic diameter could not be determined due to too few particles were of size less than 10.0 um.
