Description of key information

Following EU-Method A.5 resp. OECD 115 (1995), the surface tension of Reaction product of 2-hydroxybenzoic acid, styrene and oxozinc was determined to be 62.56 ± 0.07 mN/m. The concentration was determined with 32.21 - 37.82 mg test item/L (based on analysis of dissolved organic carbon in the test solution).

Additional information

The surface tension of an aqueous solution of Reaction product of 2-hydroxybenzoic acid, styrene and oxozinc was determined as 62.56 ± 0.07 mN/m at 19.9 °C. One measurement was performed for verification (after 61 minutes). No significant changes and thus no significant dependence on time were observed. As these values were higher than 60 mN/m the test item Reaction product of 2-hydroxybenzoic acid, styrene and oxozinc was classified as not surface active. The concentration was determined with 32.21 - 37.82 mg test item/L (based on analysis of dissolved organic carbon in the test solution).
