Endpoint:
flammable liquids: obsolete as covered by section 'Flash point'
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a liquid

Description of key information

not flammable according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP Regulation)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
not classified

Additional information

For liquids the primary value for ease of ignition is the flash point conducted using Method A9 ‘Flash Point Method’ of Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008. The result of the flash point test in combination with its boiling point is used to allocate a liquid substance into the appropriate flammability class.  In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI any further testing does not appear scientifically necessary.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The flash piont of the liquid was determined at 200°C and the boiling range is 305.88 °C (579.03 K) to 336.62 °C (609.77 K). The substance is not classified according to GHS criteria.
