Description of key information

The percentages of biodegradation revealed that the test item was not readily biodegradable. The maximum degradation was 7.23% on 28 day of analysis increasing to more than 10% after 42 days. The percent degradation in the toxicity control was less than 25% after 14 days. Therefore, the test item was assumingly inhibitory to microbial activity in the inoculum.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
inherently biodegradable, not fulfilling specific criteria
Type of water:
freshwater

Additional information

The test item may be inhibitory to microbial activity at 2.36 mg/L.
