Description of key information

The key value is based on an acute Immobilisation Study of 2-(N-ethylanilino)ethanol in Daphnia magna. It concerns a GLP study according to OECD Guideline 202 (Daphnia sp. Acute Immobilisation Test). Analytical support showed that the concentrations of 2-(N-ethylanilino)ethanol in test media remained within acceptable limits (>80% of nominal concentration). The EC50 (48 h) for 2-(N-ethylanilino)ethanol

was 22.16 mg /L with a 95% confidence interval of 18.32- 26.79 mg/L.

Additional information

The highest tested concentration of the test item causing no immobilisation was 11.9 mg/L (No Observed Effect Concentration, NOEC) and the lowest tested concentration causing 100% immobilisation within the 48 h test period was 60.0 mg/L. The Lowest Observed Effect Concentration (LOEC) was 17.8 mg/L over the 48 h exposure period of the test item.
