Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Appearance/physical state/colour

Under visual observation the test material has been determined to be a liquid at room temperature.

Melting point/freezing point

The melting point is reported as <-20°C, because there was no evidence of a freeze/melt point present at the -20°C  initial temperature.

Boiling point

The test material according to OECD 103, has a boiling point of 253.2°C.

Density

Relative density measured on the test material according to OECD 109 was 1.03 g/mL at 20°C.

Particle size distribution

The study is not required as the substance is a liquid.

Vapour pressure

The test material according to OECD 104 has avapour pressure at 20°C of 0.29 mPa and 0.53 mPa at 25°C.

Partition coefficient

The log Pow of the test material was estimated using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) as described by guideline OECD 117, under GLP conditions. The log partition coefficient (log Pow) of the test material was determined to be greater than 6.5 (the highest log Pow of the reference standards tested (p,p-DDT); the log Pow of the test material has been reported as > 12 - < 14 (the test material is a UVCB) (Smithers Viscient, 2018).

Water solubility

A study was attempted, however definitive results could not be determined as the method used could not detect the components at such low solubilities.

Surface tension

Study does not need to be conducted as the water solubility is <1 mg/L.

Flash point

Flash point is 193°C at barometric pressure of 763.113 mmHg.

Auto flammability

Auto- ignition temperature is 260°C at 765.302 mmHg.

Flammability

Study has been waived as the substance is a liquid.

Explosiveness

Not explosive based on structure of the test material.

Oxidising properties

Not oxidising.
