Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The adsorption potential to soil and sewage sludge was assessed in a OECD 121 study, via an HPLC method. For soil the log Koc values were in the range of 1.95 to 5.75, with as key value: log Koc (soil) = 3.01 (main peak, 52.8 % area). For sewage sludge, the log Koc values ranged from 1.83 to 6.22, with as key value: log Koc (sewage sludge) = 3.05 (main peak, 52.8% area). This corresponds to Koc, soil = 1023.3 L/kg and Koc, sewage sludge = 1122 L/kg. Clearly the substance has a preference for adsorption to soil and/or sewage sludge (Mobility class according to McCall et al. (1981): Low).

Henry's law constant has been calculated and is 5058.2 Pa * m3/ mol at 20°C, indicating that the substance might evaporates rapidly from the water phase into the atmosphere (according to OECD SERIES ON TESTING AND ASSESSMENT; Number 23; GUIDANCE DOCUMENT ON AQUATIC TOXICITY TESTING OF DIFFICULT SUBSTANCES AND MIXTURES, Appendix R.7.1-1 Henry’s law constant and evaporation rate)
