Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusions:
Under the study conditions, the relative density of the substance was determined to be 1.69 ± 0.04 at 20 ± 0.1°C.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the relative density of the substance according to EU Guideline A.3. Relative density was measured using a dilatometric procedure in which suitable liquid is used to determine the true volume of given mass of the solid in a saturated gravity bottle. The liquid used was toluene with the average reading taken as the result. Under the study conditions, the relative density of the substance was determined to be 1.69 ± 0.04 at 20 ± 0.1°C (Macnab, 1987).

Description of key information

The relative density was determined according to EU Guideline A.3 (Macnab, 1987).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
1.69
