Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

According to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Column 2 of Annex VIII, hydrolysis testing does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable.  The substance did not exhibit ready degradability in a ready biodegradability CO2 evolution test; although the degradation rate exceeded the threshold of 60% in 28 days, the substance narrowly missed the 10-day window. Nevertheless, the degradation rate of 70% in 28 days is indicative of substantial mineralisation and rapid biodegradation; therefore, hydrolysis testing is waived.
