Key result
Auto-ignition temperature:
345 °C
Atm. press.:
999.5 hPa

The lowest temperatures at which an ignition occured are given below:

Main test series  Lowest temperatures of an ignition  Highest temperatures without an ignition  Atmospheric Pressure
1 374 °C  372 °C  1006.0 hPa
2 374 °C  372 °C  1006.0 hPa
3 347 °C  343 °C  1000.0 – 1002.5 hPa
4 346 °C  343 °C  997.1 – 999.2 hPa
5 346 °C  343 °C  999.5 – 999.6 hPa

Based on results of the main test series, the lowest auto-ignition temperature was 346 °C.

The auto-ignition temperature rounded down to the nearest multiple of 5 °C was determined as 345 °C.

Conclusions:
The test item has an auto-ignition temperature of 345°C.
Executive summary:

The auto-ignition temperature of the test item was assessed according to EU method A.15 (EC No. 440/2008). In a preliminary experiment, an ignition temperature of 423°C was observed. The auto-ignition was further assessed in the main test. In total 5 measurements have been carried out. The lowest auto-ignition temperature was found to be 346°C. The auto-ignition temperature rounded down to the nearest multiple of 5°C was determined as 345°C.

Description of key information

For this endpoint, the auto-ignition temperature of the test substance has been determined according to EU Method A.15 (EC No. 440/2008). The test item was found to have an auto-ignition temperature of 345°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
