Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The boiling temperature of the test item was determined by differential scanning calorimetry according to OECD 103 and EEC-Directive 92/69 EEC, Part A, Methods for the determination of physico-chemical properties, A.2 "Boiling temperature", EEC Publication No. L383, December 1992. No boiling point was detected prior to decomposition / polymerisation. (Evonik Industries AG, 2007)

Additional information

The boiling temperature of the test item was determined by differential scanning calorimetry according to OECD 103 and EEC-Directive 92/69 EEC, Part A, Methods for the determination of physico-chemical properties, A.2 "Boiling temperature", EEC Publication No. L383, December 1992. No boiling point was detected prior to decomposition / polymerisation. (Evonik Industries AG, 2007). The decomposition of 1,6 -Hexanedioldimethacrylate at a temperature greater than 100 °C was confirmed by an other study according to DIN 53171. In that study a theoretically boiling point of approximately 190 °C at 1013 hPa was calculated. (Evonik Industries, 2001)
