Kendall (1999) is GLP-compliant with restrictions of characterisation and storage conditions of test substance. The test is non-guideline, with the method developed at Wildlife International, but follows scientific principles. The study is considered suitable for use as key study for this endpoint. A solubility value of 8.86 g/L at 20°C in freshwater was determined for ethanethiol.
The key study is supported by a result of 6.8 g/L at 20°C taken from the WHO IPCS International Chemical Safety Card (ICSC 0470, 2004). No information on the primary source of these data or the methods used is available.
