As reported in Summary report of Toxicological Literature for Methylquinolines, NTP,2002 with reference to AMA Archives of Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Medicine. Vol. 4, Pg. 119, 1951 when 2-methylquinoline was administered orally to rats, the LD50 was 1230 mg/kg.

Based on LD50 oral rat= 1230 mg/kg/bw and LD50 dermal rabbit= 1980 mg/kg/bw 2-methylquinoline is classified H302 (acute oral toxicity cat.4) and H312 (acute dermal toxicity cat.4) according to CLP Regulation (EC n.1272/2008).
