Description of key information

In a 96 hour acute toxicity study, Carp (Cyprinus carpio) were exposed to the test substance at nominal concentrations of 0 (control), 4.6, 10, 22, 46 and 100 mg/L under static conditions.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

LC50 for freshwater fish:
37 mg/L

Additional information

The 96 hour LC50 was determined to be 37 mg/L and the NOEC value was determined to be 22 mg/L. This toxicity study is classified as acceptable and satisfies the guideline requirement for an acute fish toxicity study.
