Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
non flammable
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
YOFCO MAS is not "highly flammable" according to the criteria of the guideline.
Executive summary:

The determination of the flammability of the test item was performed in accordance with the EEC Directive 92/69, Part A, Methods for the determination of physico-chemical properties, A. 10 "Flammability (solids)", EEC Publication No. L383, December 1992.

YOFCO MAS could not be ignited with a flame during the preliminary test (contact time of about 2 minutes). In contact with the ignition source, YOFCO MAS melted. Neither smoke nor any change of the gas burners flame colour could be observed. At the beginning, the melt became clear but while cooling, turned milky and turbid.

Therefore, no main test was performed.

In conclusion, YOFCO MAS is not "highly flammable" according to the criteria of the guideline.
