Additional information

Natural oil monomer (i.e., Methyl polyhydroxymethyl stearate or MPS) is considered “readily biodegradable” according to current OECD criteria. By virtue of this definition, and the rapid and complete mineralization observed in the OECD 301F test, the substance is expected to rapidly biodegrade in a variety of environments. Thus, biodegradation is expected to be the dominant process affecting the fate and lifetime of this substance in the environment.
