Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No data for Diethyl oxalate is available. Long-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates were tested on the hydrolyses product oxalic acid (CAS 144 -62 -7) and ethanol (CAS 64 -17 -5). According to OECD guideline 221 Daphnia magna reveals an NOEC (21 d) of 9.3 mg/L for oxalic acid (NITE 1998). Long-term toxicity test of ethanol on Daphnia reveals LC50 (10 d) of 454 mg/L (Cowgill & Milazzo 1991).

For more detailed information on the approach taken, please see the read-across justification attached to chapter 13 of this dossier.
