The partition coefficient of 2-ethylhexyl thioglycolate has been determined following the Directive 92/69/EC - A8 method (1992) and using the HPLC test method (OECD Guideline No. 117, 2004). Using this procedure, it was shown that the n-octanol/water coefficient of 2- ethylhexyl thioglycolate is equal to 4.7. On this basis it can be considered that 2-ethylhexyl mercaptoacetate is expected to have a potential for bioaccumulation.
