Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No experimental data investigating the adsorption potential of Fatty acids, C12-16 (even numbered) and C18 unstd., methyl esters (CAS No. 1234694-02-0) are available. As the substance is a complex UVCB substance, QSAR calculations covering representative fatty acid components (C12, C16 and C18 unsaturated) were performed with KOCWIN v2.00 and resulted in log Koc values ranging from 3.1-4.7 (C12 and C18 components respectively)(López Parrón, 2011). These values indicate that Fatty acids, C12-16 (even numbered) and C18 unstd., methyl esters is expected to exhibit potential for adsorption to organic soil and sediment particles.
