Additional information

Due to the ionic structure no adsorption on the organic fraction of soil or sediments is expected. This confirm experimental results with EDTA (CAS 60-00-4). Evaporation of the EDTA metal complexes from the water surface into the atmosphere is unlikely. Hence the EDTA metal complexes will preferentially distribute into the water compartment.
