Administrative data
First-aid measures
- Inhalation : Assure fresh air breathing. Obtain medical attention if breathing difficulty persists.
- Skin contact : Wash skin thoroughly with mild soap and water.
- Eye contact : Rinse immediately with plenty of water. obtain emergency medical attention if pain, blinking, tears or redness persist.
- Ingestion: If swallowed, immediately administer water (1/2 liter) only if victim is completely conscious/alert and induce immediately vomiting. Seek medical attention immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Flammable class : This product is highly flammable.
Prevention: no smoking. Keep away from sources of ignition.
Extinguishing media: Foam. dry chemical. Carbon dioxode. Water spray.
Surrounding fires: Use water spray or fog coolong exposed containers.
Specific hazards: May form flammable vapour-air mixture.
Protection against fire: Do not enter fire area without proper protective equipmetn, including respiratpry protection.
Special procedures: exercise caution when fighting any chemical fire.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions : No smoking. Respiratory protection equipment may be necessary. Equip cleanup crew with proper protection.
Environmental precautions: Prevent entry to sewers and public waters. Notify authorities if liquid enters sewers or public waters.
Clean up methods : Clean up any spills as soon as possible, using an absorbent material to collect it. Use suitable disposal containers. Dilute residues and flush.
Handling and storage
General : No naked lights. No smoking.
Precautions in handling and storage: Do not use compressed air to either agitate or transfer the contents of storage containers (tanks)/shipping drums containing this material.
Technical protective measures: Ground well. Use only non-sparking tools. Use special care to avoid static electric charges.
Storage : Keep container closed when not in use. Store in dry, cool, well-ventilated area.
Storage-away from: heat sources.
Handling : Handling in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety procedures. Wash hands and other exposed areas with mild soap and water before eat, drink or smoke and when leaving work.
