Any other information on results incl. tables
The quantity of Oxypyrion acetate for this was determined to be 81,6 g using the tap density determined in this report. The sample weight used for the test was 82,40 g.
The range was given by the size of the sieve where the sum of residue, Rx,was = 90 % and the size of the sieve where the sum of residue, Rx,was = 10 %. However, the calculated Rxvalue for the largest sieve (2000 µm) was 12,25% and the calculated Rxvalue for the smallest sieve (75 µm) was 85,67% therefore the granule size range is <75 µm to >2000 µm.
A plot was made of percentage cumulative residue against granule size and from this the values of D10 (the maximum granule size below which 10% of the sample weight exists), D50 (the maximum granule size below which 50% of the sample weight exists – also known as the median particle size by weight) and D90 (the maximum granule size below which 90% of the sample weight exists).
The results calculated from the plot were:
D10 <75 µm – as 11.89% of the test sample passed through the smallest, 75µm, sieve a more precise value for D10 is not possible from the results data.
D50 = 363 µm
D90 = 1271 µm
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- The granule size range for Oxypyrionacetate was <0,75 µm to >2000 µm.
