Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The DSC was checked with an indium standard and gave a melting onset at 156,59 °C with a normalised energy of -28,48 Jg-1. This was within the specification of 156,3 to 156,9 °C and -27,45 to -29,45 Jg-1, the instrument was therefore considered to be fit for purpose.

An endotherm equating to a melting temperature, and exotherm equating to decomposition were recorded. The melting endotherm was well defined so the onset and peak temperatures are appropriate. The decomposition was over a large temperature range so the left and right limits were recorded.

Sample 1:      Melting temperature, onset 96,02 °C, peak temperature 97,78 °C.
                       Decomposition: 189,48 to 298,25 °C.

Sample 2:      Melting temperature, onset 95,99 °C, peak temperature 99,11 °C.
                       Decomposition: 186,61 to 307,38 °C.

Mean melting temperature onset: 96°C.

Mean decomposition temperature range: 188°C to 303°C.

The atmospheric pressure at the time of testing was measured as 98.4986 kPa.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
An endotherm equating to a melting temperature, and exotherm equating to decomposition were recorded. The melting endotherm was well defined so the onset and peak temperatures are appropriate. The decomposition was over a large temperature range so the left and right limits were recorded.
The mean melthing temperature onset for Oxypyrionacetate was 96°C.
The mean decomposition temperature range was 188°C to 303°C.
