- The analytical method (HPLC-DAD, external standard) for the determination of the test item Halamid was validated and tested with satisfactory results in regard to linearity, repeatability of injections, limit of quantification, accuracy, precision and specificity. The water solubility of the test item Halamid increased at higher temperatures. No significant pH dependence was observed. The main degradation product of Halamid, p-toluenesulfonamide was observed with a maximum concentration of 47.2 g/L (pH 5 30 ºC) corresponding to 36.6 % of the dissolved Halamid.
- Conclusions:
- very soluble (> 10000 mg/L)
The water solubility of the test item increased at higher temperatures. No significant pH dependence was observed. - Executive summary:
The water solubility in dependence of pH and temperature of Tosylchloramide sodium, trihydrate was determined according to OECD 105 EC A.6. The solubility of the test item was determined using the flask method at pH 5, 7 and 9 and at 30, 20 and 10 ± 0.5 ºC with preincubation at 35 + 0.5 ºC. The analytical method (HPLC-DAD, external standard) for the determination of the test item was validated and tested with satisfactory results in regard to linearity, repeatability of injections, limit of quantification, accuracy, precision and specificity. The water solubility of the test item increased at higher temperatures. No significant pH dependence was observed. he test item was found to be very soluble (> 10000 mg/L).
