Description of key information
Appearance:
On the basis of on basis of visual perceptual/Olfactory property, the chemical disulfo copper phthalocyanine amine salt was Turquiose blue colored powder in appearance.
Melting point:
The melting point determination of disulfo copper phthalocyanine amnie salt (CAS No. 1328-51-4) was done following OECD Guideline 102 and according to the metal block capillary method. The test was conducted in replicates and mean melting temperature range was determined between the range of 210.3 °C-216.3°C at 977.8hPa.
Boiling point:
The boiling point determination of disulfo copper phthalocyanine amine salt (CAS No. 1328- 51-4) was done following OECD Guideline 103 and according to the method of Siwoloboff. the chemical disulfo copper phthalocyanine amine salt liquifies above 210°C, forming semisolid state at 275°C, inferring the mean boiling point to be greater than 275°C at 977.3 hPa.The test was conducted in replicates and mean boiling point was determined to be greater than 275°C at 977.3 hPa.
Density:
The density of substance disulfo copper phthalocyanine amnie salt (CAS No. 1328-51-4)was determined following OECD Guideline 109 and according to the Test methods: Pour density and tapped density of powders” recommended in The International Pharmacopoeia, Fourth Edition, 2014 using bulk density apparatus. The mean pour density and tapped density of substance disulfo copper phthalocyanine amnie salt was determined to be 0.4260 g/cm³ and 0.5003 g/cm³at 26 °C and 976.4 hPa.
Particle Size Distribution:
The particle size distribution of test item disulfo copper phthalocyanine amine salt(CAS No. 1328-51-4) was determined by granulometric analysis with rotap sieve shaker.
The particle size distribution was determined to be in the range of 150 micron to 25 micron.
Vapour Pressure:
Data from modelling databases suggests that the estimated vapor pressure of Disulfo copper phthalocyanine amine salt at 25°C was1.25E-035 mm Hg =1.66E-033 Pa
Partition Coefficient:
Data from modeling databases suggests that the estimated log Pow of disulfo copper phthalocyanine amine salt was 3.86Based on this value, it can be considered that disulfo copper phthalocyanine amine salt is hydrophobic in nature, which is also supported by its very low solubility in water.
Water Solubility:
The water solubility determination of test item disulfo copper phthalocyanine amine salt (CAS No. 1328-51-4) was done as per the OECD guideline 105 by spectrophotometric analytical method as per OECD 101. The solubility of (disulfo copper phthalocyanine amine salt of 1328-51-4 )in water was determined to be 4115.575 mg/l at 28°C.
Surface tension:
The study need only be conducted if surface activity is a desired property of the chemical. The Disulfo copper phthalocyanine amine salt(CAS No. 1328-51-4)is used as a colouring agent. For this use, surface activity is not an important property. Hence this study was considered for waiver.
Flash point
From the available data from laboratory, the flash point determination of disulfo copper phthalocyanine amnie salt (CAS No. 1328-51-4)was done following closed cup method using Pensky-Martens flash point apparatus. The test was conducted in replicates and mean flash point was found to be 182°C at 977.1hPa. Based on criteria mentioned in CLP regulation the chemical has flash point >than 60 degree C hence the disulfo copper phthalocyanine amnie salt (CAS No. 1328-51-4) was considered to be non-flammable.
Autoflammability:
Disulfo copper phthalocyanine amine salt did not catch fire on being exposed to air at room temperature of 27°C and atmospheric pressure of 966 hPa. This indicates that Disulfo copper phthalocyanine amine salt is not auto-flammable.
Flammability:
Disulfo copper phthalocyanine amine salt does not indicate any ignition when the flame of bunsen burner having temperature of approximately 950°C is brought in contact with it. Thus it can be concluded that Disulfo copper phthalocyanine amine salt is not flammable at high temperature. However since such high temperatures are not found under normal circumstances of transportation and use, thus Disulfo copper phthalocyanine amine salt was considered non-flammable for chemical safety assessment.
Explosiveness:
The study does not need to be conducted because the substance contains chemical groups associated with explosive properties which include oxygen, but the calculated oxygen balance is less than -200.
Oxidising properties:
The study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedures does not need to be applied.
pH:
The pH determination of test item disulfo copper phthalocyanine amnie salt (CAS No 1328-51-4) was done following OECD guideline 122. pH of 1% w/v solution was measured with the help of pH meter and it was observed to be 7.48at 26 °C. On the basis of result, disulfo copper phthalocyanine amnie salt (CAS No 1328-51-4) was considered to be basic in nature.
Viscosity:
The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid.
