Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

SOIL SIMULTION TEST e.g. according OECD 307
TAED
According 1907/2006/EC Annex IX, Column 2, 9.2.13 a Simulation study for soil need not to be carried for substances which are readily biodegradable. Such a study is not available for TAED. But according to the REACH Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment Chapter R.16.4.4.5 a DT50 for soil biodegradation may be derived from a test on ready biodegradability in conjunction with the Koc of the substance. For TAED the Koc is < 100 L/kg .
This results in the following DT50 for TAED which can be regarded as conservative:
DT50 Soil TAED 30d
DAED
Due to the structural similarity and the similar inherent properties e.g. fate and toxicity it can be assumed that the DT50 for TAED as mentioned above may also be applied for DAED (read across) which means DT50 Soil DAED 30 d.
