Additional information

Three studies on the acute toxicity to fish using three different specis are available. Hence, a weight of evidence approach was applied.

An acute non-GLP flow-through test by Brooke et al. (1984) on Pimephales promelas showed a LC50 (96h) of 18.8 mg/L, related to the nominal concentration.

Two non-GLP non-guideline tests by Hoechst AG (1979) using Lepomis gibbosus and Salmo gairdnerii (new name: Oncorhynchus mykiss) revealed LC50 after 96 hours of exposure of 37.3 mg/L and 42.0 mg/L, respectively, related to the nominal concentration. In a WoE approach results ranges fom 18.8 mg/L to 42.0 mg/L, with lowest value of 18.8 mg/L. Hence, the substance is considered acutely harmful for fish.
