First-aid measures

Skin contact: Wash off immediately with plenty of soap and water. Take all contaminated clothing off immediately. Seek medical advice.
Eye contact: Immediately flush with large quantities of clean water for at least 15 minutes and call a physician.
Inhalation: Move affected person to fresh air. In case of respiratory system or mucous membranes, or if you feel unwell or in case of prolonged exposure, get medical attention.
Ingestion: Don't induce vomiting because of risk of aspiration into the lungs. See a physician immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media: Water spray, carbon dioxide or dry chemical agents.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Smoke, fumes, oxides or carbon, oxides of phosphorus.
Advice for firefighters: Use self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing for chemicals.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Clean-up personnel should wear protective clothing and equipment to prevent inhalation of dust and skin and eye contact. Remove all sources of ignition.
Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter public sewers and watercourses.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Use mechanical handling equipment. Collect the spilled product into suitable containers, which must be tightly sealed. Avoid raising dust.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Keep container closed. Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid vapour formation and ignition sources.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Phosphites tend to hydrolyze when exposed to humidity and general acid. Store away from heat, moisture, oxidizing agents, peroxides and water.
