Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The short-term toxicity to algae is determined by read-across to the structural analogue substance Direct Black 168 Na salt (CAS 93281 -13 -1). The source and the target substance have the same structure in respect to the anionic constituents.

One test conducted according to the OECD Guideline 201 (Alga, Growth Inhibition Test) on the structural analogue substance resulted on one EC50=17.4 mg/L, and the same results applicable to the target substance.
