Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Respiratory sensitisation
Administrative data
- Endpoint:
- respiratory sensitisation
- Remarks:
- other: QSAR prediction
- Type of information:
- (Q)SAR
- Adequacy of study:
- weight of evidence
- Study period:
- March 2016
- Reliability:
- 2 (reliable with restrictions)
- Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
- other: Accepted QSAR method using software mentioned in the REACH Guidance on Information Requirements and Chemical Safety Asessment. Respiratory sensitisation is a considered a reliable endpoint for QSAR assessment by DEREK NEXUS.
- Justification for type of information:
- QSAR prediction: migrated from IUCLID 5.6

Results and discussion
- Results:
- DEREK analysis demonstrates no alerts for respiratory sensitisation present in the DEREK database for the three components that KY-EU contains.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Interpretation of results:
- not sensitising
- Conclusions:
- Based on the absence of structural alerts for respiratory sensitisation for all three components that KY-EU contains, KY-EU is predicted to be not respiratory sensitising by DEREK Nexus version 5.0.
- Executive summary:
The (Q)SAR programme DEREK Nexus version 5.0 was used to predict respiratory sensitising properties of KY-EU. The default of DEREK Nexus version 5.0 fotr the level of likelyhood , mentioning an alert which is evaluated as being equivocal or greater was used.
No structural alerts were fired for all three components that KY-EU contains. Based on this result, KY-EU is predicted to have no respiratory sensitising properties.
