Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General information
Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately
After inhalation
When inhaled remove to fresh air and seek medical aid.
After contact with skin
In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with plenty of water
Consult a doctor if skin irritation persists.
After contact with eyes
In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical advice
After ingestion
When swallowed, as a precautionary measure drink water, milk or lime or milk of Magnesia
and seek medical aid.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media
Product itself is non-combustible; Fire extinguishing method of surrounding areas must be
discussed.
Special hazards from the substance itself, its combustion products or from its vapours
In the event of fire the following can be released:
Carbon dioxide (CO2)
Carbon monoxide (CO)
Special protective equipment for firefighting
Use self-contained breathing apparatus
Wear full protective suit.
Further information
Fire residues must be disposed of in a proper manner
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Use personal protective clothing.
Environmental precautions
Do not allow to enter drains or waterways
Methods for cleaning up/taking up
Pick up with absorbent material (eg sand or sawdust). Rinse away the rest with a weakly
alkaline aqueous solution.
Dispose of absorbed material in accordance with the regulations.
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Observe the usual precautions for handling chemicals
Advice on protection against fire and explosion
Observe the general rules of industrial fire protection
Requirements for storage rooms and vessels
Storage must be in stainless steel materials of types : 316 (1.4401), 316L (1.4404) or 316 Ti
(1.4571).
Advice on storage compatibility
Keep away from alkalies and metals
Further information on storage conditions
Keep container tightly closed
Storage temperature should not fall below 10 °C
Keep only in the original container at temperature not exceeding 25 °C

Exposure controls / personal protection
Occupational exposure controls
General protective measures
Avoid contact with eyes and skin
Do not inhale aerosols
Hygiene measures
Wash hands before breaks and after work.
Do not smoke during work time.
Observe the usual precautions when handling chemicals.
Respiratory protection : Use respiratory protection in case of insufficient exhaust
ventilation or prolonged exposure
Filter A (organic gases and vapours) to standard DIN EN 141
Hand protection : Nitrile rubber gloves.
These types of protective gloves are offered by various
manufacturers. Please note the manufacturers´ detailed
statements, especially about the minimum thickness and the
minimum breakthrough time. Consider also the particular
working conditions under which the gloves are being used.
Eye protection : tightly fitting safety glasses
see respiratory protection

Thermal decomposition : between 130 - 250 °C
Method : DSC
Hazardous reactions
Reactions with certain metals (eg iron).
Hazardous decomposition products
Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide
Formaldehyde
Disposal considerations
Product
In accordance with local authority regulations, take to special waste incineration or
chemical/physical treatment plant
Uncleaned packaging
Packaging that cannot be cleaned should be disposed of as product waste
