Additional information

Biodegradation:

Hydrocarbons, C18-C24, iso-alkanes <2% aromatics attained 74% biodegradation in 28 days in an OECD 301F (manometric respirometry) test and is therefore considered to be readily biodegradable.

Adsorption / desorption:

The measured adsorption coefficient (Koc) of Hydrocarbons, C18-C24, isoalkanes, <2% aromatics is greater than 4.27 x 10e5, log 10 Koc>5.63 [the limit value of 5.63 is based on the retention time of the reference substance DDT].

Distribution modelling:

The distribution of the substance in the environmental compartments, air, water, soil, and sediment, has been calculated using the PETRORISK Model, version 7.04. Based on the regional scale exposure assessment, the multimedia distribution of Hydrocarbons, C18-C24, isoalkanes, <2% aromatics is 0.23% to air, 0.05 % to water, 5.95% to soil and 94% to sediment. Distribution modelling results are included in the 'Multimedia distribution modelling results' tab in the PETRORISK spreadsheet attached to IUCLID section 13.
