Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures
General information
If threatening unconsciousness, position and transport in recovery position
Symptoms of poisoning may not occur for many hours, therefore keep under medical supervision for at least 48
hours.
In case of inhalation
Remove the casualty into fresh air and keep him immobile.
Seek medical treatment immediately.
In case of respiratory standstill give artifical respiration by respirator and send for a doctor.
In case of skin contact
Dab with polyethylene glycol 400.
Rinse with plenty of water.
Remove contaminated clothing and shoes.
Consult a doctor if skin irritation persists.
In case of eye contact
In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
In case of ingestion
If swallowed seek medical advice immediately and show the doctor packing or label.
Provide for plenty of water to be drunken in small gulps (dilution effect). Additionally medical charcoal tablets
should be given (1 spoon of medical charcoal suspension in a glass of water).
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media:
Foam, Dry fire-extinguishing substance, Carbon dioxide, Water spray jet
Unsuitable extinguishing media:
Full water jet
Advice for firefighters:
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters; use breathing apparatus with independent air supply; wear full protective clothing;
do not inhale explosion and/or combustion gases.
Additional information:
Cool endangered containers with water spray jet.
Inhalation of dangerous decomposing products may cause severe damages to health.
Keep people away and stay on the upwind side.
Fire residues and contaminated firefighting water must be disposed of in accordance with the local regulations.
Accidental release measures
Ensure adequate ventilation. Use personal protective clothing. Use breathing apparatus if exposed to vapours/dust/aerosol.
Collect contaminated water / firefighting water separately. Do not discharge into the drains/surface waters/groundwater. Take up with absorbent material (e.g. sand, sawdust, general-purpose binder, kieselguhr).
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling:
Care for thoroughly room ventilation, if necessary use in well ventilated area with local exhaust ventilation at workplace.
Provide suitable extraction at the processing machines. Do not use for cleaning purposes.
General protective measures:
Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not inhale vapours/mist.
Hygiene measures:
Clean skin thoroughly after working. Provide washing facilities at place of work. At work do not eat, drink, smoke or take drugs.
Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately. Work in rooms with good ventilation.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion:
Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking. Vapours can form an explosive mixture with air. Take precautionary measures against static discharges (earthing (grounding ) at pouring ). Use explosion-proof equipment / fittings and non-sparking tools.
Requirements for storage rooms and vessels:
Ventilate store-rooms thoroughly. Provide solvent-resistant and impermeable floor. Keep only in original container.
Advice on storage compatibility:
Do not store with acids, alkalies or combustible materials. Do not store with oxidizing agents.
Further information on storage conditions:
Keep container tightly closed and store at cool and aired place. Protect from heat/overheating.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Respiratory protection:
If ventilation insufficient, wear respiratory protection. Short term: filter apparatus, filter A
Hand protection:
Gloves made of nitril rubber (NBR). Glove material specification [make/type, thickness, permeation time/life, wetting resistance]:
The chemical resistance of the personal protection gloves for this special application should be clarified and confirmed by the supplier.
Recommended protection glove type (use restriction time in hrs):
KCL 730 Camatril-Velours (splash contact; thickness: 0,4 mm; break-through time: > 120 min).
KCL 730 Camatril-Velours (full contact; thickness: 0,4 mm; break-through time: > 480 min).
Eye protection:
safety goggles with side protection
Other protection measures:
Solvent-resistant protective clothing; Limitation and surveillance of the environment; Do not discharge into the drains/surface waters/groundwater.
Stability and reactivity
Evolution of ignitable vapour-air mixtures (1.9-13%) possible if stored in large containers and above room temperature.
Ignition hazard; Heating (Decomposition!)
Disposal considerations
In accordance with regulations for special waste, must be taken, after pretreatment, to an authorised special waste incineration plant.
