Dermal: no deaths and no evidence of resorption or systemic toxicity, even at doses up to 10 g/kg.

Additional information

In accordance to column 2 of REACH Annex VIII, the study of acute toxicity oral and dermal does not need to be conducted since the substance is classified as corrosive to the skin. Nevertheless, the results of an acute toxicity study after single oral administration of cyanuric chloride have been stated in rats : oral LD50 were 315 mg/kg (males) and 327 mg/kg (females).

Also, in an acute exposure study, when cyanuric chloride was applied to the skin of rabbits, it produced severe skin irritation,but no deaths and no evidence of resorption or systemic toxicity, even at doses up to 10 g/kg.

The acute exposure in two inhalation studies with the dust (cyanuric chloride) has shown that 4h-LC50 is rats is 25 mg/m³ and

2h-LC50 is mice is 10 mg/m³, with the threshold for CNS disturbances being 0.6 mg/m³.
