Description of key information

The substance may be a weak sensitiser and weak dermal irritant in human volunteers.

Additional information

The substance may be a weak sensitiser in humans (one sensitised among 200 volunteers tested). Dermal applicationn under occlusive patch testing conditions resulted in mild irritation. These are exaggerated testing conditions compared with typical exposure to a consumer product or industrial contact. This substance has a long history of safe use as a dermally-applied insect repellent consumer product.
