Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- Interpretation of results (migrated information): soluble (1000-10000 mg/L)
Under the test conditions, the solubility of different saturated solutions of the test material in wt % were 0.60 at 9 h 14 min (20 °C), 0.82 at 7 h 58 min (30 °C); 1.07 at 10 h 5 min (40 °C) and 1.36 at 8 h 50 min (50 °C). The test material is considered to be soluble in water at 20 °C (solubility = 6 g/L, i.e., between 1000 - 10000 mg/L). - Executive summary:
A study was performed to determine the solubility of the test material in water as a function of temperature from 20 to 90°C.
Saturated solutions containing solid test material were prepared above the target temperature and then cooled to the target temperature, with liquid samples being taken periodically thereafter for determination of test material content. Measurements of pH and particle size were recorded periodically during the crystallization. The test material slurries were allowed to approach their equilibrium concentrations for 8-10 hour. The solid in each slurry was isolated and compared to the amount of soluble test material determined by analysis to verify this measurement.
