Description of key information

TCPP is stable in water at pH 4, 7 and 9 at 25ºC, with a half-life greater than or equal to one year.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life for hydrolysis:
1 yr
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

This is a GLP-compliant study report (Geurts and van Veenendaal, 2001), and the test method is in accordance with OECD Guideline 111. Preliminary hydrolysis testing was undertaken at 50ºC for five days. A decrease in concentration of less than 1% was observed at pH 4, 7 and 9. Based on this result, it is concluded that there is no need for further testing in accordance with the OECD guideline as TCPP is stable in water at pH 4, 7 and 9 at 25ºC, with a half-life greater than or equal to one year.
