Description of key information

In contact with water the subtsance will hydrolyse rapidly.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The test substance is known to rapidly hydrolyse in aquatic systems forming Pinacol (CAS 76-09-5), boric acid (10043-35-3) and elemental hydrogen (H2). Based on the available knowledge, a study on the hydrolysis behavior of the test substance is not considered necessary.
