Short description of key information:
By analogy with D(-)-alpha-Phenylglycine (PG, CAS 875-74-1) and D(-)-p-Hydroxyphenylglycine methyl ester (HPGM, CAS 37763-23-8), D(-)-p-Hydroxyphenylglycine (HPG) is not considered as a genotoxic substance.
(Read-across proposed have been checked using the OECD Toolbox v. 1.1.01)

Endpoint Conclusion: No adverse effect observed (negative)

Justification for classification or non-classification

Data are conclusive but not sufficient for classification according to CLP criteria (Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008). No classification is proposed regarding genetic toxicity according to CLP criteria.
