First-aid measures

This Guidence for safe use is applicable for the substance in solution with organic solvents.
4.1 Description of first aid measures
Inhalation: Move into fresh air and keep at rest. Perform artificial respiration if breating has stopped. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing immediately and wash skin with soap and water.Get medical attention if irritation persists after washing.
Eye contact: Promtly wash eyes with plenty of water while lifting the eyes before rinsing. Get medical attention if any disconfort continous.
Ingestion: Immediately giva a couple of glasses of water and milk, provided the victim is fully consious. DO NOT induce vomiting if swallowed chemical is dissolved in petroluembased material. Danger of aspiration and develpoment of chemical pneumonia. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.
4.2Most important symtoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Ingestion can cause nausea and vomiting. Vapours may cause drowsiness and dizziness. It may occur:Skin irritation. Eye irritation. Irritation of the respiratory tract.
4.3 Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed.
No information required.

Fire-fighting measures

This Guidence for safe use is applicable for the substance in solution with organic solvents.
5.1 Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media: Larger fires: Powder. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Dry chemicals, sand, dolomite, etc.
5.2 Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture.
Fire and explosion hazards: Vapours are heavier han air and may spread near ground to sourses of ignition.
Hazardous combustion products: Carbon monoxide (CO). Carbon dioxide (CO2).
5.3 Advice for firefighters
Fire fighting procedures: Containers close to fire should be removed or cooled with water. Avoid water in straight hose stream; will scatter and spread fire. Wear suitable respiratory equipment.

Accidental release measures

This Guidence for safe use is applicable for the substance in solution with organic solvents.
6.1 Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures.
Personal protection measures: Avoid inhalation of vapours and contact with skin and eyed. wear protective gloves and, in case of splashes, goggles/face shield too. In case of inadequate ventilation, use respiratory protection.
6.2 Environmental precautions
Environmental precautionary measures: Do not allow to enter drains, sewers, or watercourses. Contact local authorities in case of spillage to drain/aquatic environment.
6.3 Methods and material for containment and cleaning up.
Cleaning method: Containers with collected spillage must be properly labelled with correct contents and hazrd symbol.

Handling and storage

This Guidence for safe use is applicable for the substance in solution with organic solvents.
7.1 Precaution for safe handling.
Handling: Static electricity and formation of sparks must be prevented. Storage tanks and other containers must be grounded. Avoid inhalation of vapours. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
7.2 Conditions for safe storage, including any incompabilities.
Storage: Store at moderate temperatures in dry, well ventilated area.Keep containers tightly closed. May attack some plastics, rubber and coatings
Conditions to avoid: Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame.
7.3 Specific end use.
Specifik use: see section 1.2 (in SDS)

Exposure controls / personal protection

This Guidence for safe use is applicable for the substance in solution with organic solvents.
8.1 Control parameters
Occupational Exposure limit values (for the organic solvents that the forms the mixture with the substance)
1,2,4-trimethylbenzene (CAS no: 95-63-6;EC no:202-436-9; index no:601-043-00-3. LLV: 20ppm;100 mg/m3. TWA Year:2000/39/EG
Naphtalene (CAS no: 91-20-3; EC no:202-049-5; index no: 601-052-00-2. LLV:10ppm,50 mg/m3; TWA Year: 91/322/EEC

8.2 Exposure controls.
Occupational exposure limits. Provide adequate general and local exhaust ventilation. Use engineering controls to reduce air contamination to permissible exposure level.
Respiratory protection. If ventilation is insufficient, suitable respiratory protection must be provided. Respiratory protection with gas filter A (brown)
Hand protection: Use protective glovesmade of: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC). THe most suitable glove must be chosen in consultation with the glove supplier, who can inform about the breakthrough time of the glove material.
Eye protection: Use safety goggles or face shield in case of splash risk.

Stability and reactivity

This Guidence for safe use is applicable for the substance in solution with organic solvents.
10.1 reactivity. There is no known reactivity hazards associated with this product.
10.2 Stability. Stable under normal temperature conditions and recommended use.
10.3 Possibility of hazardous reactions. No information required.
10.4 Conditions to avoid. Avoid heat, flames and other sourses of ignition.
10.5. Incompatible materials. Strong oxidising substances
10.6. Hazardous decomposition products. During fire, toxic gases (CO, CO2) are formed.

Disposal considerations

This Guidence for safe use is applicable for the substance in solution with organic solvents.
13.1 Waste treatment methods.
Specify the appropriate methods of disposal. Dispose of wastte and residues in accordance with local authority requirements. Contaminated packaging is hazardous waste. Metal recycling: drum to be provided to metal recycling needs to be emtied thoroughly. Draining should be done at temperatures >15C. Turn the empty drum upside down, slightly tilted (about 10 degrees)n with slit (opening)in the lowest position. Let the last residue drain for at least 10 minutes until the drum is drip-free.
Product classified as hazardous waste: Yes
EWC waste code: EWC: 130701* fuel oil and diesel
