Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Aluminium sulphate is solid which remains solid at temperatures significantly above room temperature.
OECD Test Guideline 114 on the viscosity of liquids indicates that the substance to be tested must be liquid at room temperature, and therefore a study of the viscosity of aluminium sulphate is not required.
Therefore testing for Viscosity does not need to be performed.
The experiment with solution of aluminium sulphate show the following data :
Viscosity at 20°C: 17 mPa . s (dynamic) in water solution of aluminium sulphate 1 g/1 ml water

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Viscosity:
17 mPa · s (dynamic)
at the temperature of:
20 °C
