EC10 or NOEC for microorganisms:
100 mg/L

Additional information

The key study (Desmares-Koopermans, 2003) was conducted according to the OECD 209 guideline under conditions of GLP. The study was performed on an activated sewage sludge from a primarily domestic source over a 3 hour exposure period in darkness. Inhibition of resipration was measured by CO2 evolution.

Under the conditions of the test the NOELR was determined to be 100 mg/l the highest loading rate tested.

The study was awarded the reliability score of 1 according to the criteria of Klimisch et al (1997).
