Description of key information

Under the conditions of the key study which was conducted to a recognised guideline methodology, the BCF range of the registered substance was determined to be 39-142.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species) 39 -142

The key study was conducted according to the Biocencentration test of chemical substances in fish and shell fish (2003) guideline under the Chemical Substances Control Law of Japan in conditions of GLP.

The test solution was prepared using a solvent and dispersant, however as both a high (0.02 mg/l) and low (0.002 mg/l) concentrations were prepared BCF values have been obtained both above and below the limit of solubility (0.003 mg/l). Therefore although the study employed both solvent and dispersant the study was awarded a reliability score of 1 according to the criteria of Klimisch et al (1997) as the results are considered to be sufficiently reliable and relevant to describe the bioconcentration potential of the substance in the wider environment.
